MANILA – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) revealed its schedule for road repairs along the Roxas Boulevard-EDSA flyover in Pasay City and the northbound sections of Roxas Boulevard, encompassing Pasay and Manila cities, commencing this week.
As per the advisory from the DPWH-South Manila District Engineering Office, road repair activities along the northbound lanes of Roxas Boulevard are set to begin on Thursday night (April 4th).
The repairs are expected to be completed after 150 days.
Meanwhile, reblocking along the south and northbound bridge approach of the Roxas Boulevard flyover will begin Friday (April 5).
The repair works along the bridge approach will include concreting, reblocking, asphalt overlay, and application of thermoplastic pavements.
It is expected to be completed on April 30.
The agency advised motorists to use service roads and other alternate routes.
In a separate advisory, the DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Office also announced a three-day road repair and rehabilitation works along EDSA northbound, which will begin at 11 p.m. Friday (April 5,) until 5 a.m. Monday (April 8).
The road repair will temporarily close the outer lane of EDSA northbound (1st lane from the sidewalk), between Apo St. and Pioneer Avenue, covering a length of 164 meters.
Motorists are advised to use other lanes as alternate routes to avoid traffic build-up in the area.
The DPWH assured motorists that the repairs will provide a smoother riding surface, ensuring the safety of commuters and motorists while enhancing road mobility. (PNA)
