LEGAZPI CITY – Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives apprehended two high-value targets and confiscated PHP14.28 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Matnog town, Sorsogon on Saturday.
Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5), identified the suspects as “Pan” and “Ham,” both hailing from Lanao del Sur.
The collaborative effort resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu found in plastic sachets weighing approximately 100 grams, valued at PHP680,000, and in two vacuum-sealed tea bags weighing approximately 2,000 grams, with a total estimated value of PHP13.6 million, Calubaquib reported.Both suspects and seized evidence are now under the custody of Matnog Municipal Police Station for proper disposition while charges are being prepared against them.
