CAGAYAN de Oro City first district Rep. Lordan Suan turned over November 29 in barangay Tignapoloan a hall to be used by indigenous peoples.
In his speech, Suan vowed to establish a tribal hall in every hinterland barangay in Cagayan de Oro City by the end of 2025.
Former barangay chairman Renato Rances was full of gratitude to Suan, saying the tribal hall is already a huge help to his constituents.
The two-storey building can be used for functions and even as sleeping quarters for the Lumad who are transiting the area on the way to their destination.
Along this line, Rances is hoping that Suan would be reelected in 2025 so he could continue his projects for three more years.
The P10-million tribal hall has a multi-purpose hall, chieftain’s office, office, two sleeping quarters, kitchen, two dressing rooms, toilets and shower rooms.
A 541-meter access road going to the area was likewise constructed.
This is the second tribal hall constructed in the first district of Cagayan de Oro City.
