TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental – The Phividec Industrial Authority (PIA) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary from June 19-21, 2024 with lots of fun and open house, showcasing its recent innovations and developments.
In an interview with MCT Business Manager Paul John Dagoc, he said Phividec’s golden anniversary will be highlighted by an open house, job fair, and a concert at the Phividec grounds.
“We are excited to invite everyone to witness and visit our first-ever Open House Exhibit celebrating 50 years of industrial excellence,” Dagoc said
On June 18, a a job fair from 9:00 AM-3:00PM took place with lots of available jobs from companies inside the Phividec Industrial Authority
On June 19, a ribbon cutting, which signalled the formal opening of the open house exhibits, also happened, and participated in by special visitors, employees and dignitaries. The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Atty. Joseph J. Bernedo Administrator/CEO Phividec Industrial Authority and Analiza U. Miso, Manager, Corporate Sustainability and External Affairs.
E-PAYMENT SYSTEM
Dagoc said that Mindanao Container Terminal is showcasing its cashless transactions inside the industrial estate.
In line with the Philippine Government’s mandate per Executive Order No. 170 and Republic Act No. 8792 or the “Electronic Commerce Act”, the PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority (PHIVIDEC-IA) thru Board Resolution No. 3197 s. 2022 enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) for the Link.biz Portal Facility.
Dagoc said this is an e-payment facility that allows transactions to be paid to MCT via the internet.
Relative thereto, all MCT clients/customers to transact/pay fees thru Link.biz Portal Facility as an alternative mode of payment.
“We are very proud that the online payment system is very efficient because it allows our clients to pay us through the internet and this makes the fast pull out of containers after paying the fees to MCT,” Dagoc explained.
