A total of 2,000 job openings from 70 private firms based in Misamis Oriental are expected to be filled this January 22 as the provincial government organizes its yearly jobs fair at Limketkai Atrium.
According to Gov. Peter Unabia during the first weekly flag raising of the month January 6, the recruitment activity will tremendously help his administration’s efforts of jobs generation exclusively for Misamisnons.
In turn, this will be part of the single digit poverty incidence (SDPI) aim to reduce the poverty level of the province to an ambitious eight percent by 2028.
Unabia said he is confident that this is attainable with the cooperation of all Capitol employees along with the various local government units down to the barangay level.
The governor reminded each Capitol department to always take care of their respective adopted barangays the whole year long.
“We cannot do this on our own. You need to reach out to the national line agencies, to the private sector. Networking is key,” he said.
