BARANGAY Lapasan proudly brings home the prestigious Best Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) award, conferred today by the City Government of Cagayan de Oro and the Department of the Interior and Local Government–City Office (DILG-CDO).
The awarding ceremony, held this November 28, 2028 at the City Amphitheater, recognized Barangay Lapasan for its exceptional dedication, consistent performance, and innovative approaches in strengthening community-based anti-drug initiatives.
This significant achievement was realized under the able, transparent, and dedicated leadership of Punong Barangay Julito D. Ogsimer, whose proactive governance inspired the BADAC, barangay workers, law enforcement partners, and residents to work together in maintaining a safer and drug-free community. Through intensified preventive education, strong coordination with law enforcement agencies, and sustained community intervention programs, Barangay Lapasan has set a benchmark for anti-drug efforts in the city.
“We humbly accept this award as a testament to the collective effort of our council, our barangay team, partner agencies, and the people of Lapasan,” Punong Barangay Ogsimer said. “This recognition fuels our commitment to continue building a secure, healthy, and empowered community.”
Both the City Government and DILG-CDO commended Lapasan BADAC for its excellence in documentation, program implementation, advocacy campaigns, and sustainability of anti-illegal drug initiatives.
