Uy leads turnover of new Bulua high school building equipped with modern classrooms

FILLED with enthusiasm and joy, Mayor Rolando Uy turned over the new four-storey, 16-classroom building of Bulua National High School in Barangay Bulua on Tuesday, February 10 this year.

The ₱76.4 million classroom building is special because it is already fully equipped with a multimedia package for the convenience of students and teachers.

Each classroom has a SMART TV, computer and printer, LCD projector, whiteboard and green board, a functional fire alarm and detection system, seats with built-in compartments including provisions for left-handed students, as well as 16 CCTV cameras.

The said school is the first among many school buildings constructed under Uy’s administration as part of his RISE agenda through the Special Education Fund of the Local School Board.

In his message, the mayor thanked the teachers for their hard work and encouraged parents to continuously support their children in their studies.

He also urged the students to truly make good use of the school as it will lead them to a brighter future.

“Let this building stand not just as walls of steel and floors of tiles, but as a symbol of hope and opportunity, because every amenity is a belief in your potential and your future,” Uy said in his message.

It was learned that Bulua National High School has a shortage of 54 classrooms for its 4,300 students, who are currently using only 48 classrooms and have long been experiencing double-shift classes. CIO
