COOPERATIVE Development Authority (CDA) Undersecretary Alexander Raquepo keynotes the opening salvo of the National Cooperative Month held today, October 5, here at the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol, Cagayan de Oro City.
Raquepo encouraged cooperative leaders to train the young people to give value to cooperativism.
“Ang tema natin ay “United in purpose and action, sharing prosperity to build a better world. Ako po’y naniniwala ‘pag tayo’y nagkaisa, tayo as mas malakas. Ito po ‘yung organisasyon na nire-recognize at binibigyan pansin ng gobyero, hindi lang ng Pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo,” he said.
The undersecretary also said that Misamis Oriental is a home of many billionaire cooperatives.
CDA is an agency attached to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Its appointed head automatically holds the Cabinet rank of undersecretary.
