OPOL, Misamis Oriental – A top official of the municipality of Opol said that tourism is really booming.
Mayor Jayfrancis Domingo Bago confirmed this news during an interview with the media.
He said the Seven Seas Theme Park is always a go-to destination from travelers and families all over Mindanao and even from Luzon and Visayas who wanted to discover new destinations to unwind from the hustles of daily works and business.
“Kining Seven Seas kanunay gyud gina-adtoan sa mga mahiligon sa adventures ug relaxation. Ubay ubay gyud and dumuduong dinhi sa matag bulan,” Mayor Bago said.
Aside from Seven Seas, the mayor added that a casino in Opol is also visited by lots of businessmen from other places.
“This casino in Opol is also getting lots of visitors from other places.” He said although he is not 100 percent in favor of the casino but since they are Pagcor licensed, the local government has nothing to do to go against it.
The crocodile and ostrich farm is also ongoing but they are not as active as before. “Naa pa gihapon sila pero dili na kaayo active like sa una,” Bago claimed.

He added that his team is now focused on cementing roads all over the town especially in going to tourist destinations. “Atong gisiguro gyod nga hapsay ang mga dalan nga agianan paingon saa tong mga tourist destinations dinhi sa Opol.”
