CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall’s Task Force Klarex nga Kable cleared about 16 km worth of unused, dangling wires or ‘spaghetti wires’ in various locations in the city within a five day period or every two days last Jan 19, 21, 23, 26 and 28.
Two kilometers of unused wires were cleared in Barangay Kauswagan following a request by a private company along with three kilometers of unused cables along Macasandig Road.
Also cleared were Florentino Street in front of the Discovery Hotel, where six kilometers of unused wires were recovered.
About five kilometers of unused wires and cables were bundled at Waling-Waling Street in Barangay Carmen at the NGCP area.
The clearing operations were part of the task force’s mandate under Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy’s administration to ensure a safer and orderly urban environment for city residents and visitors alike. (DYM/CIO/Photo courtesy by TF Klarex nga Kable)
