COGON Market marks its 20th anniversary from July 17 to 19, 2025, with the theme “Adopting to Changes and Equipping for a Cashless Society.”
The three-day celebration opens with a grand parade and thanksgiving mass, followed by a variety of activities including bazaars, exhibits, and a singing contest.
The festivities continue with basketball games, parlor games, Zumba sessions, and the much-awaited Palengke Queene 2025 pageant happening tomorrow and Saturday.
Cogon Market traced its roots after World War II but the city government which operates it, entered into a build-operate-transfer (BOT) agreement with UKC Builders and inaugurated in 2005.
It was eventually bought back by City Hall in 2008.
