THE Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) North Mindanao led by chapter governor Engr. Vixter Abaday is currently holding a two-day continuing professional development seminar starting July 17 at Mallberry Business Suites, Cagayan de Oro City.
Dubbed as Training Camp 2025, the seminar tackles updates in core and access network infrastructure, design and deployment.
The event is in collaboration with DICT 10 and the National Telecommunications Commission 10 led by director Ted Buenavista.
Among the speakers are former IECEP North Mindanao governor Engr. Jodem Gatus, Engr. Yuner Yaneza of RS Spot Solutions (structured cabling), data center design expert Engr. Lemuel Duhaylungsod (continuity in operations for critical facilities), Steag Power Inc. cybersecurity specialist Engr. Dinish Ongcol, Engr. Ryan Emilson Nato of Globe Telecom (integrating core network infrastructure for reliable and scalable connectivity), Engr. John Elcid Ponce of PLDT-Western Mindanao (best practices in networking and routing using border grateway protocol), Bukidnon Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Oliver Owen Garcia (bridging the gap in Internet connectivity: the Bukidnon success experience), among others.
Engr. Michael Andrew Buot of DICT 10 will also discuss its free public Internet access program while Dr. Franch Maverick Lorilla of USTP CDO Bites will present opportunities for startups and MSMEs.
The most awaited presentation will be laid out tomorrow (Friday, July 18) by NTC 10 director Ted Buenavista who will tackle the latest telecommunications regulatory network in the Philippines.
There are a total of 174 participants who are attending the seminar. They will receive 16 CPD points.
IECEP is the association of all electronics technicians and professional electronics and communication engineers in the country.
