REELECTIONIST Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go trooped to Lanao del Sur Provincial Hospital in Tamparan municipality February 10 to inaugurate the 167th Malasakit center in the country.
The Malasakit Center refers to a chain of one-stop-shop centers for medical and financial assistance provided by various agencies of the Philippine government as institutionalized by Republic Act 11463.

An initiative of Go when he was still special assistant to the President, the Malasakit Center processes the availing of subsidies by indigent Filipinos from the following government agencies: DOH, DSWD, PhilHealth, PCSO and PAGCOR.
The Malasakit Center in Tamparan is the 15th all over the Bangsamoro region.

Go is also pushing for the creation of 700 super health centers, eight of which will be located in Lanao del Sur. Here in Cagayan de Oro, the super health centers are located in barangays Baikingon and Pagatpat.
The senator is likewise envisioning the creation in the next five years of specialty centers in each region catering to cancer care, cardiovascular care, lung care, renal care, kidney transplant, brain and spine care, burn care, orthopedic care, geriatric care, neonatal care, dermatology and eye care.
