Mayor Klarex lauds brgy-level preparedness vs. Typhoon Tino

VARIOUS preparations are now being carried out by several Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees in Cagayan de Oro against the possible dangerous effects of the monitored Tropical Storm Tino, which is expected to make landfall over Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, and Dinagat Islands tonight or tomorrow morning, November 4, 2025.

Rescue equipment and vehicles have been positioned, command centers are being set up, and close monitoring of rivers and coastal areas is ongoing, along with public information activities such as mobile announcements to prevent or minimize damage when the storm hits.

Meanwhile, several families living near the river in Zone 7, Tambo, Barangay Bulua have already conducted a pre-emptive evacuation.

The public, especially those residing near rivers and coastal areas, is continuously advised to monitor weather updates and heed official warnings. CIO/KAPKIK UY FB
