CAGAYAN DE ORO – City Mayor Rolando Uy has announced exciting news for local shoppers: Landers Superstore is set to open a branch in Cagayan de Oro. The announcement was made during the mayor’s radio program, where he shared the details of his recent meeting with top executives from Landers.
Expansion Plans Confirmed
Mayor Uy revealed that representatives from Landers visited him to confirm their plans for the new store. “We are very happy with their decision to establish a branch here,” the mayor stated. “This development will provide job opportunities for our fellow citizens.”
Site Selection Underway
Landers is currently in the process of selecting a suitable location for their new branch. They are considering a 3-hectare property, along with another undisclosed site. Mayor Uy has tasked City Engineers Joel Momongan and Head Engineer Rosanna Rodriguez with evaluating these potential sites to ensure they are viable and free from issues during the rainy season.
A New Shopping Experience
Similar to S&R, Landers operates as a membership-based shopping store. However, it brings its own unique offerings to the table. In addition to a wide range of grocery items, the new branch will feature a dining area and a specialty coffee shop, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Economic Impact
The arrival of Landers Superstore is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, creating numerous job opportunities and attracting more businesses to the area. Mayor Uy emphasized the importance of such developments in boosting employment and supporting economic growth in Cagayan de Oro.
The anticipation is building as the city looks forward to welcoming Landers Superstore and enjoying the benefits it will bring to the community.
