THE leading special and education and intervention center in the region – Intervention Center for Autism and Related Exceptionalities (iCARE) – is now accepting enrollees for SY 2024-2025.
With classes beginning July 15, iCARE accepts pupils for early intervention level, primer level, intermediate level, transition program Level 1 and transition program level 2.
This is a school-like setup wherein the child stays for half a day from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and is performing several school-related activities. They are adopting the Brigance curriculum which pinpoints student needs, delivers personalized instruction and understands and supports every learner.
iCARE also offers diagnostic assessments and comprehensive behavior therapies. Under the guidance of founder Dr. Renato Tangonan, the child undergoes diagnostic assessment to find out the specific level of performance the child can do in all developmental areas which is the basis for the child’s intervention programs.
The program also offers a holistic approach in verbal behaviors, motor skills, functional skills, social skills, cognitive skills, executive functioning skills, critical thinking and reasoning skills, toileting skills and most importantly, managing inappropriate/problem behaviors.
iCARE brings with it more than a decade of experience and specialization in this field with up to more than 20 teachers. It also has branches in the cities of Butuan, Iligan and Valencia.
