MANOLO FORTICH – People from all walks of life trooped to the venue of the air balloon show held in Manolo Fortich in Bukidnon.
The air balloon show was being supported by Department of Tourism Regional Office 10 (DOT-10) Regional Director Marie Elaine Salvana Unchuan and Department of Tourism Regional Director Tanya Virginia Rabat-Tan of Davao City.
In an interview with the hot air balloon operator Den Roa of Metro Manila, he said that operating this air balloon is not an easy task. You need to be professional and have secured a license from the Air Aviation Authority (AVA).
“Kung gusto mong matoto nyan kelangan mong magtraining. Tapos kuha ka ng lisensya sa Civil Aviation para makapag palipad ka nyan.” he explained.
Roa said you need at least 15 hours of training and get a license from Civil Aviation. “Pero kailangan mong matoto sa aviation at pagbasa ng weather. “Yan pwede ka nang magpalipad.
EXPERIENCE
Roa said he’s been flying a hot air balloon for fifteen years and making this a hubby is worth the training and relaxation.
“Matagal na akong nagpapalipad nito. Siguro more than 15 years na,” Roa told the Mindanao Daily News.
He said the hot air balloon show from Manila will be staying in Manolo Fortich for two days.
The hot air balloon show is one of the tourism activities this year that is being supported by the Department of Tourism.##
