MANILA, April 7, 2025 — Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon expressed strong support for the latest initiative of the Liga ng Transportasyon at Operators ng Pilipinas (LTOP) to promote road safety and discipline among Filipino drivers.
LTOP recently launched the 2025 edition of its driver’s guide titled “Pagbabago ng Pinoy Driver, Gabay sa Ligtas na Pagmamaneho,” aligning with the national campaign of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. under the “Bagong Pilipino ay Disiplinado” advocacy.
In a statement, Secretary Dizon emphasized the importance of cultivating discipline, respect, and responsibility on the road—not just among motorists, but for all road users. He noted that responsible driving helps save time, boosts productivity, and enhances the livelihood of drivers through professionalism.
“Observing road discipline contributes not only to safety but also to the nation’s economic efficiency. It’s a crucial part of creating a more productive and modern transport system,” Dizon said.
LTOP National President Orlando Marquez presented the updated 2025 Road Safety and Discipline Manual, which serves as a reference for all professional drivers. The manual aims to reinforce best practices and ethical standards in driving.
The LTOP Foundation continues to lead efforts in advancing the transport sector’s role in national development, supporting the government’s Bagong Pilipinas movement.
