CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The POGO businesses of the Chinese businessmen in the Philippines may have other agenda, former Department of National Defense (DND) chief said Wednesday May 29. 2024.
“Hindi natin alam baka may ibang agenda ang POGO operations sa Pilipinas. Magagaling kasi ang China sa strategy, Gonzales said.
Gonzales revelations came as the Philippine Senate is also investigating Bamban Mayor Alice Guo of her alleged involvement in POGO and scamming operations of Chinese Nationals in her hometown.
The reported POGO in Bamban Leyte has turned into a love scam, crypto scam and all other scamming, based on reports received by government authorities, so that the so-called mini BGC in Bamban was raided by the members of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime (PAOC).
The said raid also resulted in the discovery of more illegal activities inside the 7-hectare compound.
MORE SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS
The issue on POGO has also turned into a more serious allegation of Mayor Guo as an alleged spy of the Communist China Party (CCP), when Guo’s sister made a video accusing her sister as a spy of China.
Her sister allegedly said she and Mayor Guo were sent to a 2-year training before they were sent to the Philippines to act as a spy.
Mayor Alice Guo’s sister did not elaborate why she turned her back against the mayor.
