BUKIDNON – The province of Bukidnon has reasons to celebrate the success of Miss Jillian Pamat, this year’s grand champion of The Voice Teen Philippines musical competition held in Metro Manila on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Jillian was declared the grand champion after her performances in the final rounds shocked the coaches and got the nod of the Filipino people. Her overall percentage rating of the combined coaches and people’s votes was 53.09, much higher than Mindoro’s Steph Lacuata (24.99%) and Yen’s (21.91%).
Although she faced tough competitions against her rivals, her determination and perseverance to succeed have converted into stunning performances in the duets and power ballad rendition during the final night, watched by millions of Filipinos around the globe.
The audience got stunned when Jillian made a toe-to-toe duet with rock Icon Bamboo Mañalac to the tune of “Tatsulok,” one of Bamboo’s top hits and record breaking musical rock pieces ever recorded in history.
Even KZ Tandingan, the coach of Yen, was amazed at the great development shown by Jillian since Day1 of the competition. “Grabe ang ipinakita mong development. Talagang sinabayan mo si Coach Bamboo. Dahil alam nating lahat na kapag ka-duet mo si Coach Bamboo lalamunin ka talaga nya kung hindi mo siya masabayan,” Kz said.
Secondly, Jillian’s power rendition of Sarah Geronimo’s hit “Ikot-ikot” and her power ballad “Tag ulan”, with the professional mentoring of the rock icon, has turned into stunning performances, catapulting her mark as the future diva of the Filipino music industry.
“Since the beginning I have seen Jillian as a future artist with a heart. Not only that she sings from the heart but there is something in her eyes that made me realize she can become a champion material given the proper coaching,” Coach Bamboo said.
PRIZES
As this year’s champion of The Voice Teen Philippines, Jillian received 1 Million Pesos plus a 1-year recording contract.
With Jillian’s professional singing as shown by her coach, Jillian is considered the diva in the making.
Her parents are all praises to Coach Bamboo and ABS-CBN for being there to help her achieve her dreams in life. ###
