RESIDENTS of barangay Balulang in Cagayan de Oro City expressed their support for the comeback bid of former Mayor Oscar Moreno and his entire slate for the first district.
Specifically, Balulang residents were impressed with the performance of their barangay chairman Edwin Micabani for the last seven years.
Micabani was recognized with the first runner-up in the 2024 Lupon National Awards.
This award highlights the barangay’s achievements in various areas, including water supply improvements.
The recognition is a testament to the leadership of Micabani and his efforts in serving the community, particularly in ensuring a reliable water supply.
This year, Micabani will be running as councilor in the first district but he promised he will never leave Balulang but will instead enhance it.
Moreno and Micabani pressed flesh with Balulang residents April 16 at Ahad Shariff Alawi Al Islamie.
During the meeting, Moreno proposed the establishment of playgrounds along both banks of Cagayan river at the Balulang and Macasandig vicinities.
This is in response to the clamor of the Misamis Oriental-Cagayan de Oro Chess Association to have their own tournament and practice spot.
Islamic teachers, Muslim professionals, Northern Mindanao ulamas league, Couples for Christ and senior citizens of Balulang were also on hand to support Moreno and Micabani.
