Manila, April 7, 2025 — Representative Richelle Singson of the Ako Ilocano Party List has reiterated her strong commitment to championing the needs of the country’s transport workers as she seeks re-election in the 20th Congress.
Singson expressed her pride in the accomplishments of the party list, particularly in supporting economic and social programs aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities. Among the highlighted initiatives are educational assistance for children of transport workers, livelihood programs for women in the sector, and sports development projects for rural youth.
A central proposal is the expansion of the V Bank initiative—designed to provide banking services to underserved Filipinos. The initiative aims to bridge the financial gap for the 77% of Filipinos without bank accounts, granting access to financial tools such as debit and credit cards.
Transport groups, led by LTOP National President Orlando Marquez, have publicly declared their support for Singson’s candidacy, acknowledging her consistent advocacy and support for their community.
