4ID inaugurates three new facilities

THE 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division officially opened three new facilities this morning, July 22, in a Blessing and Inauguration Ceremony held at the 4ID Headquarters, Camp Evangelista, Brgy. Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

The newly inaugurated facilities are the Senior Officers Quarters (SOQ), Brigade Commanders Quarters (BCQ), and the Multi-Purpose Facility (Warehouse) of the Supply Service Company (SSC) of the Service Support Battalion (SSBn).

The SOQ and Multi-Purpose Facility of SSC were made possible through the convergence project of the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) called Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS), with an investment of P10 million pesos for each facility. The BCQ was funded by a Special Fund Release from the Philippine Army Headquarters, with a total budget of almost P1 million pesos.

Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, Commander of 4ID, led the ceremony with Colonel Ted B. Dumosmog, the 4ID Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, other Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and the Civilian Human Resource.

MGen. Cuerpo said that the inauguration of the new facilities, such as the SOQ and BCQ, demonstrates the 4ID’s commitment to the success and well-being of its troops, who are the most important resources of the Army in accomplishing its mission. Moreover, the new Multi-Purpose Facility will provide a versatile space to support various functions and operations of the SSBn.
