Theme: “Inyong Kapiskay, Among Misyon” Last October 5, the Rotary Club of Golden Friendship, together with its dedicated partners, successfully held a Medical and Dental Mission at Sitio Man-ai, Tignapoloan, Cagayan de Oro City under the meaningful theme “Inyong Kapiskay, Among Misyon.”
The outreach was organized under Rotary’s Area of Focus: Disease Prevention and Treatment (Health and Sanitation), led by Chairman Dr. Wilbourne Neri, with the committed coordination of Rtn. Cocoy Bajuyo, who worked closely with the local barangay officials of Tignapoloan to make the activity possible.
This impactful mission was made possible through the collaboration of the Rotary Club of Golden Friendship, Rotary Club of Opol represented by their Club President , RTN. Bert Akut, City Health Office – CDOC, St. Ignatius, Dr. Page Payusan and partner organizations including Century Pacific Foods, Inc. through its corporate social responsibility arm, the Century Pacific Group RSPo Foundation, along with Xavier High School Batch 1987 – Section 4D.
Service Highlights:
• Dental Services: Around 150 patients received free tooth extractions and oral consultations.
• Medical Checkups: Over 200 residents benefited from free consultations, medical checkups, and medicines.
• Feeding Program: About 150 children were served nutritious meals.
• Free Haircuts: Around 50 residents availed of complimentary grooming services.
• Distribution of Goods: Through the generosity of Century Pacific Foods, Inc. and the Century Pacific Group RSPo Foundation, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Opol, around 30 boxes of Century Tuna and hygiene soaps were distributed — reaching approximately 200 families.
This initiative beautifully embodied the Rotary spirit of “Service Above Self”, showing that collective compassion and collaboration can bring healing, hope, and joy to communities in need.
