ILIGAN CITY (PIA) — Out of the 325 job seekers, a total of 27 applicants were hired on the spot at the World Cafe of Opportunities hosted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Lanao del Norte here.
The event featured various job vacancies from 25 employers, composed of 19 local companies and six international manpower agencies. Government agencies such as the Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Migrant Workers Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Social Security System provided support to job seekers.
The event was part of TESDA’s 30th-anniversary celebration and the first-ever Iligan City Technical and Vocational Education and Training Industry Week. According to TESDA Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Norayah Acas, the activity specifically targeted TESDA scholars who have already obtained national certificates, providing them with direct links to potential employers.
