EXACTLY 85 days after his initial inspection of the damaged section of the Bukidnon-Davao City (BuDa) Road in Sitio Kipolot, Barangay Palacapao in Quezon, Bukidnon, DPWH Secretary Vivencio B. Dizon returned to the site to officially open the new permanent alignment connecting the two affected provinces.
Finished in just two and a half months, Secretary Dizon mentioned that if funding is used properly, projects can be accomplished faster and better, following the right standards.
DPWH Region 10 is now fast-tracking the completion of the remaining works for the said road to ensure the restoration of the vital connectivity and mitigate the million-worth of economic losses incurred due to the previous road collapse. Remaining works include asphalt overlay, which will begin this Friday night, January 16, 2026, and is expected to be finished by Sunday, January 18, if there are no weather disturbances.
The project costs an appropriation of PHP 48 million, sourced from the Departmentโs Quick Response Fund.
