CAGAYAN de Oro City first district Rep. Lordan Suan turned over from the contractor to the Department of Education (DepEd) a uniquely designed covered court inside the spacious premises of Bayabas National High School last January 18.
With its sheer area of 12×18 meters, the edifice can already be considered a gym since it contains a bleacher on the north side facing the stage.
Suan is more than eager to fund infra projects in public schools which need them the most rather than turning them over to barangays who are unwelcome to him.
In fact, Suan told principal Danny Labadan that his office is considering to allocate financing the construction of a new classroom facility inside the school.
The congressman noted that because of its vastness, Bayabas National High School has the potential to produce more outstanding citizens who can help Cagayan de Oro in the future.
Labadan never minced his gesture of gratitude for Suan.
He deployed the Bayabas National High School drum and lyre corps majorettes led by the beauteous teacher/trainer Sherry Jane Bual to welcome the congressman.
