IN celebration of the feast of Senor San Vicente Ferrer, barangay Baikingon in Cagayan de Oro City unleashed a series of physical competitions last Sunday (January 18) to achive not just sportsmanship but wellness among the residents.
Aside from that, the barangay council of Baikingon headed by chairman Jao Gumapac also set aside cash prizes of P3,000 (champion); P2,000 (second) and P3,000 (third) for each event.
Incidentally, all the sports events are group and not individual-based to instill camaraderie and closeness among the constituents of Baikingon.
The following were the sports tilts: track and field relay, Mario went to town, kadang-kadang challenge, flour game challenge and tug of war competition.
Aside from that, the barangay also initiated triple kara, Miss Baikingon 2026, inter-zone volleyball championship, basketball league championship and modern hiphop dance competition.
The awarding will be held this January 21 just in time for the barangay fiesta.
