IN the remaining last month of the campaign, reelectionist Sen. Bong Go was greeted by ecstatic thousands of followers April 2 in several appearances in Lanao del Norte.
Arriving at around 10:30 in the morning, Go kicked off his visit by inspecting the 3.8 kilometer long Panguil Bay bridge which started during the Build Build Build program of the previous administration.
He then went on inaugurating the P20-million new legislative building in Tubod town funded through Go’s senatorial fund as vice chair of the committee on finance.
The new facility is expected to enhance the efficiency of legislative functions and provide a more conducive space for governance and public service.
After that, Go proceeded to the nearby Mindanao Civic Center where he was guest speaker of the provincial voluntary health workers convention.
He was personally met at the doorstep by gubernatorial bet and outgoing Rep. Khalid Dimaporo.
As chair of the Senate committee on health, Go was instrumental in the release of emergency allowance for health workers.
The last leg of Go’s trip was the inauguration of a super health center in Lala town.
A super health center is a semi-hospital that is composed of basic health equipment for the birthing facility, isolation, pharmacy, an ambulatory surgical unit, laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound and dialysis.
There are nine more super health centers currently under construction in Lanao del Norte.
