Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro Unveils Supplemental Marker Honoring Justiniano Borja

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro, led by President Neil J. Que, recently organized a ceremony to unveil a supplemental marker dedicated to the late Justiniano Borja, a former mayor of the city. The event was held on June 30, 2025, at the JR Borja & Kiosko Kagawasan Park in Divisoria Plaza, Cagayan de Oro City.

The supplemental marker is strategically located at the back of the pedestal of the Justiniano Borja monument, which was crafted by National Artist Napoleon Abueva in 1977-1978. This project is a testament to the Rotary Club’s commitment to honoring Borja’s significant contributions to the city during his tenure as mayor from 1954 to 1964.
