CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) hosted the reactivation of the Regional Joint Security and Control Center (RJSCC) today, January 6, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp 1Lt Vicente G. Alagar, in preparation for the May 12, 2025, National and Local Elections.
Atty. Renato A. Magbutay, Regional Election Director of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) presided over the reactivation, alongside representatives from deputized agencies, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 10 (PRO10), and the Philippine Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (PCG 10).
The activity was attended by PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Regional Director, PRO10; MGEN JOSE MARIA R CUERPO III, Commander, 4th Infantry Division, PA, represented by MICHELE B ANAYRON JR., PA, Commander, 403rd Brigade; MGEN GABRIEL C VIRAY III, Commander, 1st Infantry Division, PA, represented by BGEN ANTHON G ABRINA, PA, Commander, 2nd Mechanized Brigade; MGEN ALLAN D HAMBALA, Commander, 10th Infantry Division, PA, represented by BGEN MARION T ANGCAO, PA, Commander, 1003rd Brigade, 10th Infantry Division; and COMMO VINCENT BINGBONG FIESTA, District Commander, Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao, represented by CDR CHRISTIE C CABUYABAN, PCG, Deputy Commander, CGDNM.
The reactivation of the RJSCC aims to ensure that the 2025 National and Local Elections are conducted in a free, secure, orderly, honest and credible manner.
During the conference, discussions focused on key election security concerns, including security deployment and other election-related matters.
PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Regional Director, PRO10, emphasized the readiness of the PNP to maintain safety and security throughout the election period.
“PRO10, in partnership with our counterparts in the AFP and PCG, will remain steadfast in its mission to ensure a free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible elections in Northern Mindanao,” he said.
The reactivation of the RJSCC is in accordance with Section 7 of COMELEC Resolution No. 11067, promulgated on September 25, 2024. ###
