Governor Henry Oaminal began 2025 with a resolute commitment to progress, personally inspecting two flagship projects that promise to transform the province’s landscape and elevate the quality of life for its people.
Accompanied by the Provincial Engineer’s Office, led by Engr. Ophelia Gorre, Governor Oaminal conducted site inspections of the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park and the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center.
These projects are cornerstones of his administration’s mission to deliver lasting change under the banner of “Asenso Misamis Occidental.”
Dubbed the “Maldives of Mindanao,” the Resort and Aquamarine Park draws inspiration from world-renowned Maldivian resorts.
It is envisioned as a major tourism catalyst, expected to create jobs, enhance livelihoods, and boost the local economy.
Upon completion, it will attract visitors from across the region while showcasing the province’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
A 49-hectare coastal forested area features various amenities, including 4-storey hotels and cottages, Inland villas, a playground, inland villas with Jacuzzi, clubhouse, wildlife, fish feeding, fish pond, mangrove villas, midpoint rest cafe, spa village, restaurant by the sea, coastal villas with swimming pool, golf clubhouse, convention center, camping sites, nature trails, bird sanctuary, aquaculture, vegetable plantation, chapel, and others.
The Medical Center, on the other hand, is set to redefine healthcare in the province.
Designed to provide world-class medical services, it aims to ensure that every Misamisnon has access to reliable, affordable, and high-quality healthcare, reducing the need for out-of-province treatments.
“These projects are not just structures—they are symbols of hope, progress, and a brighter future for Misamis Occidental,” Governor Oaminal stated. “We are working tirelessly to deliver these developments, which will benefit not only today’s generation but also the generations to come.”
Governor Oaminal’s leadership continues to inspire confidence in his vision of a peaceful, prosperous, and progressive Misamis Occidental. His administration’s dedication to tangible results demonstrates its commitment to uplifting the lives of the people.(SN/PGMO)
