LOCAL carriers Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific (CEB) canceled seven Middle East flights amid the security situation in the region.
In an advisory, PAL said it canceled flights PR 685 Doha-Manila, PR 684 Manila-Doha, and PR 658/659 Manila-Dubai-Manila.
CEB, on the other hand, canceled flights 5J 14/15 Manila-Dubai-Manila, and 5J 741 Riyadh-Manila.
Both airlines said the cancellations were made to ensure the safety of passengers, crew and ground personnel.
Affected passengers of PAL could rebook or refund.
Passengers of CEB who may want to postpone their travel to and from Dubai until March 8, and to and from Riyadh until March 9, could opt for free rebooking and travel fund conversion.
PAL and CEB are urging passengers to check flight status and updates through their websites and social media channels. (PNA)
