IN demonstrating its commitment to securing Region 10 against illegal drugs, PDEA Regional Office 10 initiated a Memorandum of Agreement for the creation of a task group at Laguindingan.
This initiative anticipates the influx of international passengers with the opening of Laguindingan International Airport (LIA) to international flights next year.
The task group, officially named the Laguindingan International Airport – Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (LIA-IADITG), is composed of PDEA, Aboitiz, OTS, NBI, BI, DOJ, CGDNM, PNP-PRO10, PNP-DEG, PNP-AVSEU, and BOC. The Task Group is expected to strengthen effective and efficient coordination among member agencies in intercepting drug personalities using LIA as an entry or exit point in Region 10.
The MOA signing was conducted immediately after the five-day training of representatives from each member agency held at A1 Express Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, from November 17 to 21, 2025 conducted by PDEA Academy.
The MOA was officially signed on November 21, 2025, and was attended by the heads and designated representatives of the participating regional offices.
