OPOL, Misamis Oriental – Mayor Jayfrancis Domingo Bago of this town delivered his State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) on July 27, 2024, highlighting his priority projects.
The Mayor delivered his SOMA with the presence of Gov. Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia and his lovely wife Erlinda S. Unabia, Cong. Lordan Suan, Cong. Yevgevy “Bambi” Emano. Board Members Dexter Yasay, Pangky Acain, and his vice mayor and Council members.
Mayor Bago in his speech, said that among his priority projects include road concreting and potable water for all residents of the town to benefit.
With the services of South Balibago Waterworks, the residents of Opol will finally have 24/7 clean and potable water supply.
“Sa atong paglingkod daghan mga problema atong naatubang, problema sa tubig, dalan mga suga ug kulang nga mga infrastraktura para ma-serbisyohan ang tanan,” Mayor Bago lamented.
ROAD CONCRETING
He added that his team is also focused on cementing roads all over the town especially in going to tourist destinations.
“Atong gisiguro gyod nga hapsay ang mga dalan nga agianan paingon sa tong mga tourist destinations dinhi sa Opol.”
OTHER PROJECTS
Mayor Bago named some of finished and ongoing projects:
1. Construction of a multipurpose building from the funds of Senator Migz Zubiri for the
creation of day care centers.
2. Construction of another multipurpose building for the rehabilitation and other activities of Persons With Disabilities (PWD). The funds were sourced out from Senator Loren Legarda.
3. A spill way in Barangay Awang from the funds of Senator Aquilino Pimentel, Jr.
4. Road concreting projects from the funds of Congressman Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano
5. Other projects
