The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 10 (RO-10)
unveiled its brand-new three-story headquarters in Zone 3, Poblacion, El Salvador
City on March 25, 2026- a monumental achievement seven years in the making that
solidifies PDEA’s unyielding commitment to eradicating dangerous drugs and
protecting the people of Northern Mindanao.
Spearheading the inauguration ceremony was PDEA Director General
Undersecretary Isagani R Nerez, assisted by PDEA RO10 Regional Director Alex M.
Tablate who opened the ceremony with a heartfelt Eucharistic celebration and office
benediction, infusing the event with faith and a renewed vow to public service
excellence.
Delivering a powerful address was El Salvador City Mayor Edgar S. Lignes- the guest
of honor and speaker.
With deep gratitude, Mayor Lignes recounted how the City Council swiftly approved the land donation that laid the foundation of the project, thus exemplifying the unbreakable partnership between PDEA and the city’s local government in the fight against illegal drugs.
The event drew distinguished attendees, including heads of national agencies, law
enforcement leaders, local government units (LGUs), heads of the judiciary,
community leaders, and partner stakeholders, that remained united in solidarity for a
drug-free future in Northern Mindanao.
DG Nerez and RD Tablate handed over ceremonial tokens and plaques of citation to
awardees.
Mayor Lignes received special recognition, alongside plaques honoring
different national agencies, provinces, LGUs, and partner stakeholders for their
unwavering support of PDEA’s mission and mandate.
The crescendo arrived with the triumphant unveiling of the building marker and
ribbon-cutting, marking PDEA RO10’s bold stride forward. This facility will enable the
conduct of intensified operations, advanced intelligence, and collaborative efforts to
shield the region from the threats of illegal drugs.
