GET ready for an unforgettable week as the province of Misamis Oriental celebrates 95 years of making history and 12 years of fruitful festivity in the 12th Kuyamis Festival!
The 2025 Kuyamis Festival is packed with activities that showcase the culture, talent and traditions of Misamis Oriental.
21 QUEENS, ONE KUYAMIS CROWN
From the serene shores to the rolling hills of Misamis Oriental, 21 incredible queens are set to compete for the most coveted title of Miss Kuyamis 2025.
Representing their respective cities and municipalities, these queens embody the beauty, intelligence and cultural pride that make Misamis Oriental truly exceptional.

In an interview, provincial tourism officer Maryden Ocot said that Misamis Oriental’s silk industry will be highlighted in the beauty competition with the insertion of a new segment – the cocktail dress exposure.
The Miss Kuyamis candidates will walk the stage featuring cocktail dresses designed by the Oro Fashion Designers Guild (OFDG).
The catch? All these cocktail dresses will be made of indigenous materials weaved by Laguindingan residents in their homegrown silk industry.
This, as the silk industry in Laguindingan is seeing rise in local demand in the recent months and is aiming to upgrade its resources and silk weaving skills among weavers.
Another addition to the festivity next year is the grand finals of The Voice Kids Misor to be held on January 13 at DRER Hall inside the main campus of the University of Science and Technology of (Southern) Philippines in Cagayan de Oro City.
Unique from previous Kuyamis Festivals, there will be a congressional night of music and dancing to be held the next day on January 14 at Balingasag town.
This particular event will be sponsored by first district Rep. Christian Unabia and second district Rep. Yevgeny Vincente Emano.
Ocot also announced that the festival dance competition will be held this year at El Salvador City Sports Complex to boost the local economy there.
