ON April 26, personnel of Task Force Kalikasan ug Kalinaw led by Alex O. Buray conducted an operation against all forms of illegal quarying activities particularly at sitio Tangcogo, barangay Hinigdaan, El Salvador City.
The operation resulted in the apprehension and confiscation of one unit Shackman dump truck color red bearing plate number LAI 1069 loaded with soil, one unit Howo dump truck color white bearing plate number NDW 4510 loaded also of soil registered under the name of J. Fernando Macahilos driven by Wilson B. Flores and Rudy D. Amilig and one unit XCMG payloader color orange with body number LW500J driven by Sonny B. Barba.
The said heavy equipment was caught in the act of operating without the necessary permit issued by PLENRO Misamis Oriental.
Both vehicles including their keys are now under the custody of El Salvador City police station for proper disposition.
