Initiatives for transport workers dev’t pushed
THE LTOP Foundation Inc., together with its nationwide network, has expressed its full support for the newly appointed Secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Vivencio “Vince” B. Dizon.

Recognizing Secretary Dizon as a crucial partner in improving the public transport sector, the foundation is set to roll out several initiatives aimed at enhancing the livelihood and welfare of transport workers across the country.
Key Initiatives
LTOP Foundation Inc. is launching a series of programs designed to provide security, financial stability, and professional development for public transport workers. These include:
- Accident Drivers’ Security Life Insurance Coverage
In collaboration with Fortune Life Insurance Company Inc. and endorsed by the Insurance Commission, this program provides the following benefits:
Security Life Coverage – P100,000.00
Accident Assistance – P100,000.00
Unprovoked Assault Coverage – P100,000.00
Total Disability Benefit – P100,000.00
Partial Disability Benefit – P50,000.00
Burial Assistance – P50,000.00 - Drivers’ Village (PBBM Housing Project)
A housing initiative in partnership with government agencies such as Pag-IBIG, the National Housing Authority (NHA), and the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), providing affordable housing for qualified drivers. - Scholarship Program

LTOP Foundation Inc. is offering educational assistance to drivers and their children, covering all courses under the TESDA Tsuper Iskolar program nationwide.
- Retirement Program
A partnership with the Social Security System (SSS) to ensure financial security for drivers reaching retirement age, offering pension benefits at 65 years old.
- Modernization of Iconic Traditional Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs)
This initiative focuses on the rehabilitation of traditional PUJs to meet Philippine National Standards (PNS) and Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP) regulations. The project involves inspection under the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (MVIC) of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) while supporting local jeepney manufacturers.

Official Launch
The official launch of LTOP Foundation Inc.’s initiatives will be held on March 7, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao.
Secretary Vince Dizon will be the guest of honor and inducting officer for the foundation’s national, regional, and provincial officers. The event will also feature the unveiling of the foundation’s key programs, attended by officials from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), local government representatives, and transport industry stakeholders from across Mindanao.
Traffic Education
LTOP Foundation Inc. is also advocating for the integration of traffic rules and regulations into the Department of Education (DepEd) curriculum for students from Grade 3 to Grade 12 (Senior High School).
This initiative aims to elevate the competency of Filipino drivers to international standards while educating passengers and pedestrians on traffic laws to reduce violations and accidents.
This proposal has received strong endorsement from LTOP Foundation Inc. National President Orlando F. Marquez Sr., alongside the foundation’s executive officers and regional and provincial leaders nationwide.
