THE regional director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) here has announced that his agency and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will conduct road worthiness inspections on all moving vehicles this Holy Week.
Specifically, the activities will be held March 27 to April 5.
According to LTO 10 director Nelson Manaloto, his teams will deploy agents along key highway points all over the region as well as bus terminals and hold random checks on vehicles, especially the ones boarded by public commuters.
The LTO has earlier held garage inspections in facilities owned by the top three major bus companies based here – RTMI, Super 5 and Pabama.
Manaloto said there were only minor infractions that they have discovered and these bus firms could easily correct them in time for the loaded Holy Week trips.
