Globe strengthens Kadayawan celebration through digital experiences and community activities

DAVAO CITY — Globe is bringing technology closer to the Kadayawan Festival celebration by creating new experiences that highlight Davao’s culture, creativity, and community spirit.

As thousands of visitors gather for the annual festival, Globe is offering various activities that allow students, families, artists, and local communities to connect, share their talents, and celebrate the beauty of Davao and Mindanao.

Anchored on the 41st Kadayawan Festival theme, “We are KADAYAONE,” Globe continues to support community connection through programs involving arts, music, wellness, and technology.

“Kadayawan is more than a celebration. It is a chance to experience the culture, creativity, and unity that make Davao and Mindanao unique,” said KD Dizon, Globe Chief Marketing Officer.

Globe also enhanced its 5G network in important areas around Davao City to provide faster and more reliable connectivity during the festivities. This allows residents and visitors to easily capture festival moments, explore attractions, and share their experiences online.

The month-long celebration started with 5G Hypermove on August 9, a community fun run held at Azuela Cove that promoted health and supported the Philippine Eagle Foundation’s conservation efforts.

Meanwhile, 5G Building Craft: Paint Tomorrow on August 11 gave senior high school and college students a chance to express their creativity through mural art. The activity showed how technology can help inspire future-ready and sustainable communities.

Globe’s Kadayawan activities continue with 5G EnergyTok, a TikTok dance challenge featuring Davao landmarks, and 5G EnergyJam, which gives local student bands the opportunity to perform at G Music Fest in Kadayawan on August 16 at Ayala Malls Abreeza.

From August 14 to 16, visitors can also experience the 5G Pitstop at Ayala Malls Abreeza, featuring interactive activities, partner rewards, and Globe’s latest digital services.

Globe will also join major festival events, including Konsierto Kadayawan on August 15 and Pamulak ug Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan on August 16, showcasing the traditions and talents of Davao’s 11 ethnolinguistic communities.

Through its Kadayawan initiatives, Globe continues to promote Filipino culture while using technology to bring people closer together and create meaningful experiences for communities across Mindanao.
