The night market management committee has announced the temporary suspension of the night market on Guillermo Street starting March 9 of this year, after this was discussed and approved during a meeting held on February 19.
The suspension will cover the portion of Guillermo Street from Hayes Street to JR Borja Street.

According to the committee, the move was made due to increasing disorder in the area, which resulted in heavy traffic congestion, the entry of unauthorized vendors, selling beyond the permitted hours, and conflicts among vendors.
Committee Co-Chairman Atty. Egay Uy also stated that there is no set date yet for the resumption of the night market’s operations, as the suspension period will be used to conduct flushing and extensive cleaning of the said street. CIO
