The satellite office of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) is now operational after it was inaugurated by Mayor Kalrex Uy together with CDRRMD Department Manager Nick Jabagat on Monday, January 12.
The establishment of the satellite office for CDRRMD – Oro Rescue 911 was approved by the members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) through a resolution passed in previous years.

The project aims to provide a timely response to any type of emergency in the eastern part of the city, especially as the city has been experiencing increasingly heavy traffic.
It can be recalled that the main CDRRMD–Oro Rescue office is located in the central part of the city, and response time is crucial in emergencies for the safety of those in need. Distance and traffic have been identified as key issues that must be addressed.
According to Jabagat, Barangay Agusan is a strategic location for serving the eastern part of the city, as it can respond to medical needs as well as potential flooding or urban flooding incidents that have already been experienced in the area.
Jabagat added that the satellite office will be equipped with an ambulance and staffed by CDRRMD personnel. (ACM/CIO Photos by Roel Felicitas)
