NINETY six local government units (LGUs) in Northern Mindanao passed the DILG’s 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) for its consistent compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) and alignment with financial administration standards, as well as compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Commission on Audit (COA), a significant increase from the previous year.
Recognition was conferred to five (5) provinces, two (2) highly urbanized cities, seven (7) component cities, and 82 municipalities in the region.
The GFH, formerly the Seal of Good Housekeeping, is a component of the coveted Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) which is awarded to provincial, city, and municipal governments that have shown remarkable compliance in the accounting and auditing standards, rules, and regulations.
