MISAMIS ORIENTAL – Provincial Board Member Marlon Chan Kho is now the acting governor of the province while Governor Peter M. Unabia is out of town for official business, a report reaching Mindanao Daily News said Monday April 22. 2024
Governor Unabia was with some other board members for the said out of town official business, according to Kho during the early Monday morning flag raising at the provincial capitol.
Kho said Board Member Princess Emano is also his acting vice governor since VG Pelaez was also on official business.
Kho thanked Governor Unabia for his trust and confidence in appointing him as acting governor and as his ally for more than a decade already. “Dako akong pasalamat nga dako ang pagsalig sa atong pinalanggang gobernador,” Board Member Kho explained.
On behalf of the governor, Kho said he is urging the employees to support Governor Unabia’s flagship programs especially on poverty eradication.
“Ako maga awhag sa tanan, in behalf sa atong gobernador nga unta inyong suportahan ang iya mga programa, ilabina ang problema sa kawad on dinhi sa probinsiya sa Misamis Oriental,” he pointed.
Kho also revealed to the provincial employees how Unabia supported his political career for over 17 years now. “Utang nakong kabobot-on sa pinalangga natong gobernador kay sa tinood lang grabe ang pagsuporta kanako ni Gov Peter Unabia,” he concluded.
