Ben Tulfo to establish watchdog in all regions

SENATORIAL candidate Ben Tulfo is planning to establish satellite offices in each region of the country to serve as complaints drop zones and watchdogs of government.
Tulfo, who is consistently the fourth winning senatorial candidate in the race to 12 spots, remarked this during a press conference April 14 in Cagayan de Oro City.
Tulfo said the watchdogs will receive complaints against erring government officials and employees, whether they are from regional agencies or local government units.
This concept is anchored under Tulfo’s advocacy of minimizing corruption by eradicating red tape.
In fact, Tulfo met earlier the business community of Cagayan de Oro City particularly the micro-entrepreneurs to listen to their concernd.
And Tulfo discovered that the issues they raised focused on ease of doing business particularly on the giving of incentives such as tax cuts.
Tulfo said the government needs to push back more and convince other countries to lift their travel advisories against Mindanao because these created an adverse investment climate here.
Tulfo is running as an independent without any party machinery yet this has not prevented his rating to surge due to his popularity.
