MANILA — Pretty soon, major airports and seaports will feature Law Enforcers Lounge, a simple yet dignified way of honoring the men and women of uniform including retired officers and personnel who made countless sacrifices serving our country.
ACE Party-List Founding Chairman and Ist Nominee Erwin Culanag, himself a former law enforcer echoed this concern to all: “To provide comfort while in transit is our simple salute to the men and women of uniform who sacrifice their lives for the country. Let us give them the dignity they deserve.”
A frequent traveler, ACE Erwin Culanag had witnessed many times over the sad plight of traveling law enforcers , many of whom were homeward bound battle-weary soldiers and senior citizens.
“Looy kaayo mga sundalo active and retired diha sa mga airports og seaports walay kaplastaran. maski libre kape, lugaw, bread simple things wala diha to comfort them… magyaka lang diha sa salog nga semento bugnaw kaayo,”
Officer Culanag said in jest. Officer Culanag had been raising this concern many times over: “If we have OFW Rest Lounge at NAIA, why not provide the same facilities as well to our law enforcers and senior citizens?”
