CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, the Police Regional Offices 10 & 13, and the Philippine Coastguard District Northern Mindanao & North Eastern Mindanao have joined forces to strengthen peace and security in Northern Mindanao and Caraga, through the ceremonial signing of Joint AFP-PNP-PCG Campaign Plan “Maluntarong Pakighiusa” at the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office in San Martin, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, Commander of 4ID led the activity together with Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. De Guzman, the Acting Regional Director of PRO-10; Police Brigadier General Alan M. Nazarro, Regional Director of PRO-13; Commodore Christopher DP Auro, Commander of Coast Guard District North Eastern Mindanao; Commodore Vincent Bingbong D. Fiesta, Commander of Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao, other 4ID, PNP and PCG key officers.
Said campaign plan intends to boost collaborative efforts between the said agencies in conducting joint security, peace and order, and development support operations through the Whole-of-Government and Whole-of-Nation Approach to destroy components of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG), suppress criminal elements and syndicates, and ensure maritime and public safety to contribute to socio-cultural and economic development for Regions 10 and 13.
In his message, Maj. Gen. Cuerpo II said this joint effort is a significant step in achieving the shared goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of communities, and attain lasting peace and development in both regions.
“Today marks a significant milestone as we show our shared commitment in safeguarding the peace and security of Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions. We signed this campaign plan to combat all kinds of threats, as this plan is designed not only for internal security threats but also to actively support other agencies combatting criminal elements and syndicate groups. This agreement is a testament to our collective desire to improve coordination and cooperation which are keys to success in the war on terrorism and insurgency,” he added.
