THE province of Misamis Oriental opened January 13 the 95th founding anniversary here at the capitol grounds, Cagayan de Oro City.
In her welcome message, committee on tourism co-chairperson Syremae Emano shared that Misor’s Kuyamis Festival is being recognized nationally as published at the Department of Tourism (DOT).
Emano said that it is a fruitful effort of the people behind Kuyamis Festival since 2014.
For his part, Governor Peter M. Unabia shared during the 95th founding anniversary opening ceremony that the provincial government has lined up a series of activities and significant events to honor the rich histories of the province.
“With our dedication to achieve the single-digit poverty incidence through the PAGLAUM Development Agenda, we focus on goal-oriented tourism development as outlined in the declaration of PAGLAUM,” Unabia said.
The governor also highlighted that they are trying their best that this 95th founding anniversary celebration will translate to economic development for the province including to its component cities and municipalities.
In this light, The Voice of MisOr Kids competition was done in Claveria town and festival dance competition will be done in the grand stand of El Salvador City.
