A total of 1,034 residents of Barangay Puerto expressed their gratitude for the People’s Day program of Mayor Klarex Uy, which he personally brought to their barangay on Monday, February 16.
Barangay Puerto Punong Barangay Lolita Wahing herself led the welcome and thanksgiving to Mayor Klarex, together with the entire Barangay Puerto Council.
Among the basic services received by the residents were free medical check-ups, medicines, wheelchairs, and assistance with inquiries regarding scholarships, job applications, late birth registration, renewal of business permits, and other concerns.
Free lollipops were also given to young children, along with five kilos of rice, which was a personal donation from the family of Mayor Rolando Uy.
The People’s Day program is brought to different barangays every second Monday until the fourth Monday of the month with the goal of bringing government services closer to the people. CIO
